How can I correct my grammar errors easily?

Introduction

Hello, welcome to another video! My name is Felicia and I have been studying Special Care Counseling for 2 years now. For those of you who don't know about SCC, my program is a helping profession. For example, I can work with people who have special needs such as autism or ADHD. In my profession, I have to write a lot of notes and emails. Today, I will explain to you how I make them without any errors.

Like you, I want to make a good first impression to my superiors and my teachers. We all do, right? Nobody wants to have shameful errors in our emails or our assignments. In my opinion, making a professional report to a superior makes us feel more confident and prouder, am I right? Everybody is able to write an assignment, but not everyone is able to make an authentic and professional assignment and by so, you will be seen a trustworthy and successful person.

I have only been studying Special care Counseling for 2 years now, I am very motivated to improve my English writing and speaking so when I finish my course, I will be able to communicate fluently with my patients and their family. I just started my career, but I already have a job related to my field of study and I have to speak English to a few people. That gives me motivation to improve.

As I said, I have been in my program for 2 years, and I got a 98% a semester final exam my Observation course and a 95% in my Communication course. Finally, I have been recognized as an excellent SCC from one of my teachers.

I am going to show to you how you can be more professional in your emails, your assignments and your reports.

The Problem

Let me explain the problem to you, Special Care Counselors don’t have enough time for editing their emails, notes and reports because they have too much other stuff to do such has parents meeting and job meeting. As soon as they have some time to rest, they get a call, and they have to do an intervention. During their lunch break, they need to rest a little bit so there is no time for reviewing emails. Special Care Counselors can't sit down for more than two minutes, and they don't have a choice, they must be multitasking.

If you don't speak English adequate and fluency, you might give wrong information and you won't be able to give a clear instruction.

Take the instance the first impression you could give to someone if your interaction with them looks like that, "Hi Mrs Smith.I am Felicia, and I am a SCC. I would like you to meet me tomorrow at 3 PM to discuss about your son's physical behavior issues. Thanks." This email example has a lot of errors and doesn't look professional.

I know that it can be difficult for some people. But trust me, I found the perfect solution for you, and I am going to show it to you in a few seconds.

The Quest

Let’s begin with opening the website by adding a new tab in your browser. Write the URL inside the address bar which is at the top of the screen in the middle.

In the top left corner of the screen, you can see the Virtual Writing Tutor logo. Under the logo, in the middle of the screen, you have the navigation menu that has many items that can improve your writing skills. In the top right-hand corner of the screen, you can see many platforms icons if you want to share the website to your friends. In the center of the screen, you have your text area. In the text area, you can write the text that you want to correct.

The Solution

For example,"Hi Mrs Smith.I am Felicia, and I am a Special Care Counsellor at Saint Vincent Elementary School. I would like you to meet me tomorrow at 3 PM to discuss about your son's physical behavior issues. Best wish, Felicia M." After writing your text in the text area, you can click on the “check writing” button on the top right hand of the screen. By using the scroll bar on the right-hand side of the screen, you can scroll down and see your grammar errors. As you can see, the Virtual Writing Tutor shows you right here your word count, your error count and your error density. Your email could now turn to," Hi Mrs Smith. I am a Special Care Counselor, and I am working at Saint Vincent Elementary School. I would like to meet you about your son's physical behavior issues. Are you free tomorrow, March 12th 2021, at 3 p.m? Best wishes, Felicia M."

You can also check your spelling errors by clicking on the microphone in the bottom right-hand corner of the text area. They can come in handy when you have an assignment or an important email to write. When you are finished, you can quit by clicking in the top right corner of the screen, on the close or minimize buttons.
