Hello everyone! My name is Léanne Plante. I have been studying Natural Science for one and a half years. This program is all about Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. However, I plan to go to university in nursing. I haven't started this program yet, but I know that I would have to take surgery course, end of life care course, prenatal course, leadership course and many more others. After I graduate from university, I would like to work abroad. I would probably need to speak and write in English to communicate with my patient. I don't want to make a mistake because mistake will make me look less credible. If you are like me and you don't want to make grammar and pronunciation mistake when you communicate with people, keep watching because I am going to show you a website that can help you eliminate common errors.

First of all, open a tab in your browser and write the URL: VirtualWritingTutor.com in the address bar. You should see this page. In the top right corner, there is a series of Icons if ever you would like to share the website on any social media. In the top left corner of the screen there is the logo of Virtual Writing tutor which is a little robot. Under the logo you can find the navigation menu if you want to learn more about this website. It's also in this place that you can log in your account by clicking log in. Under the navigation menu you can find the text area. It's in this place that you are going to write your text. Also, if you have difficulty with pronunciation you can go in the bottom right-hand corner of the text area. There is a series of icons that can come handy if you want to practice your pronunciation. Finally, above the text area, you can find all the buttons you will need to correct your text. In my field of study, I think the must important tools are the grammar checker and the microphone icon.

Now, let show you guys how to use this website properly. First of all, you need to write your text in the text area. For example, "You needs to take this medication twice a day" Once your text is complete, click on "Check Grammar". The system will check you text for common errors. As you can see, it will show you all the sentences with mistakes. You can also find the word count, the paragraph count, the error count, the error density, a feedback, your error type and a suggestion on how to correct it. That way, you don't leave any mistakes. To help you with your pronunciation, Virtual Writing Tutor has put the microphone icon. When you are not sure how to pronounce something, you just need to write it in the text area and click on the microphone icon to hear the sentence or the word that you are not sure about. For example, if I want to know how to say " holistic", I just need to write it in the text area and click on the microphone. As you can see, the system will pronounce it to you so you can hear the right way to say it. So now I know how to write properly and how to pronounce complicated words.
