Hi everyone! My name is Virginie, and I am a student at Montmorency College. I am currently studying in the program: Social Science, The Individual and I absolutely love it. My field related study would be psychology. I’ve been studying in this program for 2 years now. This program is mainly based on a person's mind and his actions. In general, everything related to a person.
For me, a field-related challenge in this program, would be to write the correct form of a word in English and to spell it the right way. In my program, it has many complicated words to say and especially to write. For example, I have to study mental illness. We all know that there are a lot of words that are not easy to say it and to write it, like schizophrenia.
My weakness would be that I don't have a good memorial to remember all the right ways of writing words. On the other hand, I learn very quickly.
I graduated from high school in a private school and I also volunteered during this time.
My goal is to work with the elderly.
With this screencast, I want you to be able to use this website correctly and help you with your grammar correction with your future works.
I am pretty sure you have never seen a website so useful as this one.

So now, I will show you how to use this website : Virtual writing tutor. I love it, because I’m not too good at grammar in English, and this saved my life when I have to correct my mistakes and know how certain words are pronounced and spelled. Virtual Writing Tutor has many more uses than that. Let me show you. First of all, when we type the URL in the address bar, it brings us directly to this page.
In the top left corner of the screen, we can see the logo. In the top right corner of the screen, we can also see icons that shows us ways to show our work to others or to invite them. Just below, at the top of the screen, in the middle, we have the navigation menu. Below the navigation menu, we have instructions on how to use the text area the right way. If you’re not sure how to spell the word that you wrote, you just have to click on the volume icon and it will spell it to help you say it. You also have the microphone right beside, in the bottom right corner of the screen. You can use this icon if you don’t know how to write the correct words but you know how to say it. The two other icons besides is useful if you want to download your text. We also have the check spelling button and examples you can consult.
I can click on the volume icon and it says the correct way. On the navigation menu, we can click on the ‘’ Check Grammar ‘’ button to see how many errors you have, the number of words, the number of paragraph and the error density of your text. Now, Virtual Writing Tutor suggests you how to correct your faults so you can now have a text without errors. I will now correct them. To double check if it is OK, you can re tap on the ‘’ Check Grammar ‘’ button. If you corrected them well, it is supposed to show your error count and your error density are at now 0. For me, the main challenge in my field-related study, Psychology, would be to write the correct form of a word in English, and to spell it the right way. With Virtual Writing Tutor, I’ve found the solution. The word : Schizophrenia can be corrected and spell it for me. Let me show you : So if we write, ‘’schizophrenia’’ the wrong way, and we click on the ‘’ Check Grammar ‘’ button, it will suggest the correct way to write it. Now, we just have to correct the grammar error, and click on the volume icon to have the correct pronunciation.
