Today I have got a great video for you. For those of you who do not know, my name is Rebecca Deus, and I am in my final year at Montmorency College in one of the most beautiful programs, early childhood education technique.

And today, my goal is to show you how to use a brilliant website that I discovered during my English class at CEGEP.

I have worked in daycare where at least one child in my group is English-speaking. And most of the time, one parent is English-speaking, although the children speak French. One of the mandates of an educator are to work with the parent, which includes communication. And when the English-speaking parent comes to pick up his child, he expects me to be able to explain how the day was for his child. In short, I must discuss so that those who listen to me can understand the message. This also leads to a good understanding on my part

If I am not able to talk to their parents, much of my work could not be done, that of creating a bond with the parent.

Virtual writing tutor is the name of the website that I discovered. So let's open the new tab and type virtual writing tutor.com into the address bar and hit enter. If you typed the name correctly, you would see this page

As you can see, in the top left corner, we have the logo of the website.
In the top right corner, you can see social media icons if you want to share the website
If you want to learn more about the website, just under the logo, we have the navigation menu.
Under the navigation menu, there are some instructions about the website.
In the middle of the screen, we have the text area, where you can definitively write the text you want to check : the grammar, the vocabulary, the punctuation, the spelling etc.

Here is where you can go to find the solution to the specific need I mentioned before.
I go into the icons that are at the bottom of the text area, we have a microphone, an audio. And here these icons allow you to automatically record your audio on your laptop as well as your text in a Word document.
I can listen to my text, or speak to check if my pronunciation is correct.
In addition, this website can help me grammar and sentence structure if I have to write in the child's logbook or send an information email to the parent.
