Hello, my name is Marois Soliman, I am currently in my second year in college as a Science student. In this program, we study science-related subjects such as biology, chemistry, and mathematics. In the upcoming years, I am willing to integrate dental Medicine at university. Indeed, once I graduate, I would like to work in a dental clinic where I will diagnose, prevent, and prescribe teeth and mouth-related treatments for multi-lingual patients.
However, English is mandatory to communicate and prescribe medication to international patients. In my case, English is a second language, meaning that I don't perfectly master it, so I might commit plenty of mistakes in common prescription which will decrease from my professionalism.
I will show you an easy and practical solution to overcome this problem. Indeed, for those of you who don't know the Virtual Writing Tutor website is a great way to improve your writing skills. I am going to give a quick demonstration of how to access the website, and how to use it. First, add a new tab and type in the address bar: virtualwritingtutor.com. Once you verified the spelling, press enter. The name of the website should appear as a logo in the top left-hand corner. You should also see at the top of the screen just under the logo, the navigation menu with a variety of different options. Besides, in the bottom right corner of the screen, there is a chatbot where you can ask any questions you have. In the middle of the screen, there is a text area. Just above, there is a grammar checker, a punctuation checker, and so forth. In the right-hand corner of these correctors, there is an accordion button that leads you to even more options.
Now, I am going to do an example of a dental prescription full of errors that I am going to correct using the available tools on the website. I start by pasting my text in the appropriate area. I continue on by clicking in the grammar checker, and as you can see, all my of mistakes are underlined in red. After that, I scroll down to see the amount of errors I committed and a feedback explaining each mistake. The type of error I made is also mentioned. Finally, there is a suggestion that corrects my grammar mistake.
I solved the spelling problems that you might encounter by using this website. I hope that my screencast is useful and thanks for watching.
