Hi everyone! My name is Tristan Lussier, and I have been studying Science at Montmorency College for a year now.
Science is a program that includes a lot of subjects, like chemistry, physics, biology, and mathematics. It isn't about a particular subject.
Next year, I'm going to the University, and I would like to study medicine to become a medical examiner.
In this video, I will show you the Virtual Writing Tutor website and will explain how to use it.
So, if you want to know some functions of this website, stay right there to listen to my step-by-step tutorial.
Medicine is a vast field of study that is related to my program. While working in medicine, you may have to write reports and analysis depending on which branch of medicine you studied. You will have to write those especially if you are a medical examiner.
In these reports, a lot of sophisticated terms are used and if you don't know how to write or pronounce certain words, you may end up with a bad reputation or lose credibility.
For example, if you want to present the cause of death to a detective, but you can't even explain it properly orally or in writing. He may think that you don't know what you are doing with all the mistakes you make. You don't want your reports nor analysis filled with mistakes.
Correcting a report, and making sure everything is written correctly can be hard, but I will show you how to correct your errors by using the Virtual Writing tutor.
First, open a new tab in your browser. Then, click in the address bar at the top of the screen, and type this URL, virtualwritingtutor.com, and hit enter.
If you are in the right website, you should see the logo in the top left corner of the screen. In the top right corner of the screen, You should see icons you can share this website with.
Under the logo, there's the navigation menu where you can find all the functions of this website. The text area is in the middle of the screen and it is where you can write your text.
In the bottom right corner of the text area, you will find a microphone and a text-to-speech button that will help you with your pronunciation.
Now here is how you correct your text by writing it in the text area. You might want to write this in your autopsy report : Multiple sharp force injuries, involving chest and abdomen, and multiple incised-stab wounds of the neck.
Then, click on the submit button "check grammar" at the top of the text area. This button is also the spell checker. You will find the word count, the error count and your error density.
Under those, the website will give suggestions for your mistakes. If you have many mistakes, you can use the scroll bar on the right-hand side of the screen to scroll-down to see them.
You can go back to your text and correct your following mistakes. You are now sure that your sentence doesn't contain any mistakes.
Also, if you are not sure how to pronounce a word or a sentence you can click on the text-to-speech button and it will show you to pronounce it.
So, if you are in Science or any related field, you know how you can correct a report or an analysis with the Virtual Writing Tutor website.
I hope this video was very useful and that the Virtual Writing Tutor will be added to your work strategies. Thank you for watching and have a great day.
