Hi everyone! Welcome back to my channel. If you don't already know, my name is Rima Baamrani. I'm studying in the Natural Health and Sciences in Cegep. To people that don't know about, this program involves biology, anatomy, chemistry, math and other's. I'll explain what this program offer you. Those courses prepare students for many health-related careers. And the career path I'm interested in, is dentistry.

If you are students including like me, It possibly happened that sometimes you feel frustrating to try to explain something. Especially when you need to use technical words. Right?

I have only been studying for a year now, but I do want to go to university. Even thought I'm not a dentist yet, I have done some research recently on the subject. I have learnt that clear communication with your patients is really important.

Throughout my program, I had to do some labs in chemistry and physics. I have learned to explain things with specific concepts in my lab reports. So, is exactly the same kind of skills health professionals need.

My goal is to demonstrate how to use Virtual Writing Tutors to help you in your future career path or even now.

By the end of this video, you will be surprised of how simple this website going to help you to catch grammar and pronunciation.

When you are on a health-related job or program, you often need to write or explain things clearly. For example, lab reports or patient notes.

If you cannot explain well or your writing have mistakes on it, it can confuse the reader. Also, if you use unclear vocabulary, you will lose credibility.

For example, during one of my chemistry labs, I had to explain an equilibrium equation reaction. Then, if I used the wrong words and had unclear vocabulary, it would change the meaning of my result.

It may look complicated, but trust I'm going to show you a tool that will help to fix your problems.

First, just open a new tab. Type virtualwritingtutor.com in the address bar and press enter. If you did it well, you would see this page.

In the top left corner, you will see the Virtual Writing Tutor logo. Below it, there's the navigation menu, to know more about the website. Then, in the middle of the screen, there's a big text area where you type or paste your writing, along with the instruction above it. Below the text area, you will find a microphone icon for pronunciation practice. Also, in the navigation menu there a row of buttons like Check Grammar and Check Vocabulary.

Let me show you now how to solve the problem I mentioned before. For example, I write a sentence about a patient tooth. I click in the text area and paste my sentences. Imagine I'm a dentist. As you can see, there is a grammar mistake but if, you click on the Check Grammar, it will suggest a clearer word choice. I fix it directly and now my explanation is correct. To define certain terms for those of you who don't know, a cavity is a hole in a tooth caused by the damage to bacteria and filing materials what close the hole. Now is easier to understand.

So, I showed you how to correct your mistakes in grammar and vocabulary by using Virtual Writing Tutor, before submitting any work in your field. Also, I said to trust me, and I hope you don't regret it. However, I hope you understand that if you use this tool, you don't just copy the correction.
