You may be surprised by some technical words, and some pronunciations can be surprising too.

In my program, many technical documents and manuals use English vocabulary.

If I don't understand an important word, it can be difficult to understand a lab, a manual, or a machine.

For example, I may know what a component does, but words like overload relay or proximity sensor can still be difficult for me in English.

So, I will show you how Virtual Writing Tutor can help me understand these words and practice their pronunciation.

First, open your browser and go to VirtualWritingTutor.com. Then click on Writing Tools, and choose the Glossary Creator.

At the top, you can see the menu. In the middle, there is a place to enter a word. You can also see the definition, pronunciation, and an example.

Here is the solution. First, I enter overload relay; Then I click on the tool to see the meaning and pronunciation. I can scroll down to read more information. The word is clearly defined, and I can listen to the pronunciation. After that, I try proximity sensor and do the same thing. I can repeat this with other words from my classes and build my own technical glossary.
