Hi, my name is Sophie and I study in early childhood education. This program allowed student to become a childhood educator in the daycare and at school. We learn about the child development, how create activity for stimulating them and help them to grow up.
Everyone knows that there are many illnesses and infections in children, especially those aged 0-5. As an early childhood educator, it is impossible for us to remember the rules and policy for every infection or health problem those children have, and we are not able to share all the information to the parents.
Let me explain the problem. When we are in the daycare it was the educator responsibility to protect other children and to say whether the child should stay home or not when he is sick. It was very hard to reminding all the health condition and what we have to do with that.
So, sometime educator forgot if they can keep the children in the daycare or not.
For example, suppose you have a child who has swollen and red eyes, who coughs a lot and blows his nose. Can we keep him at daycare or not?
That can be difficult. But don't worry. I have found the solution. In this screencast, I'll show you a website that solved this problem.
First open you bower and type publications.msss.gouv.qc.ca into the address bar and hit enter. If you typed the URL correctly, you will see this page of the Quebec government.
In the top left corner, you have an address bar to find a specific subject on the site.
On the navigation menu, we see four categories, new, subjects, years, and types.
When you scroll down you can see all the new or update pamphlet you can print or send to inform the parents.
So, example you search about the Flu (influenza) you have to click on subjects and find the category, and you click on it. you find all de guide, and pamphlet information about the influenza. After, you can choose one of guide of find the information we want. You can go back and find a new infection guide. On the website, you can find different type as a medium to convey information and raise parents' awareness as much as possible. You can choose the categories it was the most helpful for you.
So, If you are a children edocator or a related field, that's how you slove the problem about what we have to do with diffrent inflection or how tranmettre the info to the parents. I promised you would find the information about all the infaction and you be more equip to help parents.
