Hello everyone, welcome to my channel!
My name is Derek.
Today, I’m going to introduce my program, which is called Cybersecurity.
Cybersecurity is the field of protecting computers, networks, systems, and data from attacks. In this program, students can study subjects like network security, ethical hacking, system administration, digital forensics, and risk management. This program can lead to careers such as cybersecurity analyst, security administrator, penetration tester, or IT security consultant.
A concrete problem that someone in this field can face is writing a professional incident report in English after a cyberattack.
The problem is that even if the technical ideas are good, weak grammar and unclear writing can make the report look less professional and harder to understand.
For example, if a company suffers from a phishing attack, the cybersecurity worker must explain clearly what happened, what systems were affected, and what actions were taken.
To help solve this problem, I can use a website called Virtual Writing Tutor. It is a free online writing tool made to help people improve their English writing with grammar, spelling, punctuation, vocabulary, and other feedback. It also includes tools like paraphrase checking, essay scoring, and a target structure checker.
To find it, I simply open Google and type Virtual Writing Tutor, then click on the official website.
On the main page, there is a large text box where I can paste my writing. The essential parts are the grammar and spelling checker, the vocabulary tools, and the target structure feature. The site can also save feedback for users and provides links to explanations and practice activities.
Imagine that I wrote this short incident report:
“Yesterday our company receive many suspicious emails. One employee click the link and the attacker get access to his account. The IT team block the account, changed the password and investigate the problem. This attack show that the company need better awareness training.”
Step 1: I copy this text.
Step 2: I go to Virtual Writing Tutor and paste it into the text box.
Step 3: I run the grammar and spelling check.
The website highlights errors like receive instead of received, click instead of clicked, get instead of got, and show instead of shows. It also helps improve punctuation and sentence structure. The checker is designed to identify grammar, punctuation, spelling, and word-choice issues.
After correcting the text, the new version becomes:
“Yesterday, our company received many suspicious emails. One employee clicked the link, and the attacker gained access to his account. The IT team blocked the account, changed the password, and investigated the problem. This attack shows that the company needs better awareness training.”
So, Virtual Writing Tutor is useful because it helps students and future professionals write better English, especially when they need to produce reports, emails, or technical explanations. In cybersecurity, clear writing is very important because one small mistake in communication can create confusion during a serious security incident. I promised I would show you how to improve your skills, and I did it using the website Virtualwritingtutor
