I have to admit that I sometimes make grammar mistakes too, especially when I write long technical reports or try to explain complex ideas

I am a student in civil engineering. In this program, we learn how to design and build infrastructure like bridges, roads, and buildings. We also write many reports explaining our work.

In civil engineering, communication is extremely important. Engineers must write reports describing designs, materials, and safety measures.

If the writing is unclear or contains mistakes, it can create misunderstandings between engineers, clients, and construction teams. In some cases, it can even lead to serious safety problems.

For example, imagine a report that says,
‘The structure have many problems and is not safe.’
This sentence is not correct, and it may confuse the reader or reduce the credibility of the engineer.

So, in this video, I will show you how to correct this kind of mistake quickly and easily using an online tool.

First, open your browser and look at the address bar at the top of the page.
Type the URL or the address of Google.Then go to the search bar and type ‘Virtual Writing Tutor’, then click on the first link.

When the website opens, you will see the logo at the top.
In the top left corner, there may be navigation options.
In the top right corner, you may see account icons or settings.

At the top, you can find a navigation menu with different links.
Some parts may open as a drop down menu or a collapsible accordion section.

In the center of the page, you will see a large text area or input box where you can write or paste your text.
There are also buttons to check grammar.

In the middle of the page, the main tool is clearly visible.
At the bottom, you may see extra instructions or information.

In the bottom left corner and bottomed right corner, there may be additional icons or small links

Now, let’s solve our problem step by step.

First, take this incorrect sentence:
‘The structure have many problems and is not safe.’

Copy the sentence.

Next, paste it into the text area in the center of the page.

Then, click on the ‘Check Grammar’ button.

After that, the website will analyze your sentence and show corrections in the same area, usually in the middle of the screen.

For example,

‘have’ changes to ‘has’

‘problem’ changes to ‘problems’

Now the corrected sentence is,
‘The structure has many problems and is not safe.’

This sentence is clearer, more professional, and easier to understand.

You can also follow the instructions on the website to learn why the corrections are made. This helps you improve over time, not just fix one sentence.
