One of my goals since I started graphic design was to create a logo for a hockey team. A year and a half after starting college, I was able to get a contract with my local team to design an anniversary logo.
That's why you should set goals. Even if they're small, they help you.

One of the problems is people are scared to start graphic design, as it might be an unsafe career.
They fear they might have to change career and start over.
For an example, someone who decides to stop graphic will have to look for something else, wasting time.
However, you want to choose a career you will love. If you are not sure about graphic design, it's quite alright. Take the time to inform yourself about your choice. If you truly love graphic design, you should go for it.
