Hello history teachers! I am Frédérik Lacasse and I prepared an amazing video for you today. Recently, I discovered a website called Virtual Writing Tutor that can be very useful for our history classes.

Everyone wants to be a good teacher and nobody wants to be embarrassed by making mistakes while providing the subject matter.

I am not the more experienced teacher, but I sure know what I am talking about.

I have a master in history from Sherbrooke's university, and I know this site really well.

My plan is to share you how the site works as it has been really helpful for me and will hopefully be helpful for you too.

Like I said before, it is very frustrating as a teacher to make mistakes as we explain the subject.

It is probably one of the worst things we can do as a teacher because the student can lose interest, and we can lose credibility.

A great example of this is when your PowerPoints and your spelling are full of mistakes. Another good example that happened to me is when you give back an important exam to your students, but your corrections and feedback are filled with errors. The next day, you feel that they’ve lost respect for you, and you are no longer able to be taken seriously.

This example is based on personal experience, and I guarantee that you don’t want this to happen to you. But don’t worry, this website will help you drastically. I’ll explain how to use it and solve this problem in just a few minutes.

The Virtual Writing Tutor is a website, so first, you'll need to open your web browser. Now that your browser is open you can now enter the URL in the search bar. The URL is as follows: https://virtualwritingtutor.com/. Click enter and you are in!

You should now be at the home page, the home page is very useful and versatile, it can verify your grammar, punctuation, spelling, vocabulary, it helps you with paraphrasing, can also detect ChatGPT, or outline essays and write hypertext narratives. On the top you can see a bar with sections, this is the place where you can access all the resources provided by Virtual Writing Tutor. There are lessons to help you with your spelling and your writing, there are writing tools and plenty other useful resources that can help you as a history teacher, but, if you lost yourself in the site you can always click on the logo at the top left to return to home page.

So, the two problems mentioned before can be easily solved with the home page and the ''Lessons'' section. To help you correct your PowerPoints, you can use the home page to correct your errors which will help you drastically. But if you still have difficulties and want to be even better, you can practice your spelling and writing in the ''Lesson'' section. There are a lot of lessons, so you'll never have to be worried about running out of them.
