How I use Virtual Writing Tutor to write my site reports

Introduction

Hello and welcome, my name is Gabriel Copin and I have been studying Civil Engineering for 2 years.

Many Civil engineering students share the same problem : writing technical reports in English. Maybe some of you have experienced this too, and I think no one likes to waste time to verify all sentences on our reports right?

I often make grammar mistakes and my sentences are not always clear. As I have only been studying engineering for a short time, I am still in the beginning stages, and I'm not yet an expert.

Over the past two years, I have acquired the skills to calculate stress, forces, and the coefficient of friction in engineering problems.

My goal today is to discuss the significance of communication in engineering and the importance of clear writing in English as a crucial skill for engineers.

By the end of this discussion, I hope to convey the importance of this topic and its relevance to students.

So, please stay with me as I explain why this issue is often underestimated by students.

The Problem

One common issue that many civil engineers face is struggling when they communicate their site report in English.

If engineers cannot clearly communicate their results reports, the important information could be misunderstood in a project.

Suppose an engineer writes a structural report with unclear explanations. This can lead to mistakes in the construction process.

In this presentation, I will show a solution to help engineers communicate their results more clearly.
