For instance, engineers and technicians often need to write inspection reports, project descriptions, emails to clients, or technical explanations.

However, if these written materials contain grammar mistakes or unclear sentences, it can lead to miscommunication, delays, or even safety issues in a project.

Therefore, it is crucial to write clearly and correctly in English.

One useful tool that can help solve this problem is a website called VirtualWritingTutor.

To access it, simply go to Google and search for VirtualWritingTutor. This website can assist students in improving their English writing skills and avoiding grammar mistakes and unclear sentences.

Some important tools include: Grammar Checker, Essay Checker, Vocabulary Checker, and Paraphrase Tool. The most useful tool for civil engineering students is the Grammar Checker. You simply copy and paste your text, click "Check Grammar," and the website will identify mistakes and suggest corrections. This helps students improve their grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure quickly.

Now I will show an example of how this website can help solve a problem in civil engineering. Imagine I wrote a short technical sentence for a project report: “The bridge foundation was design to support heavy traffic and prevent structure movement.” This sentence contains some grammar mistakes so I go to VirtualWritingTutor. Next, I copy the sentence and paste it into the Grammar Checker box. Then I click Check Grammar button. The website shows me the errors. For example: “design” should be designed. The corrected sentence becomes: “The bridge foundation was designed to support heavy traffic and prevent structural movement.”

Now the sentence is grammatically correct and more professional so there is no miscommunication.
