Hi everyone!
My name’s Étienne, I’m 20 years old and I’m studying civil engineering. I’m really interested in construction and infrastructure — basically anything that helps build and improve the world around us.
In this program/company, we focus on creating strong, practical solutions and working together as a team. It’s all about learning, building real projects, and making a positive impact in our communities.
I’m really glad you’re here, and I hope you’ll enjoy discovering what we do!
As engineers, we don’t just build structures — we also write reports, proposals, emails, and project plans. When we’re working on sustainable infrastructure or climate-related solutions, we need to clearly explain risks, costs, and technical details to clients, governments, and communities.
VirtualWritingTutor helps by checking grammar, improving sentence structure, and giving feedback on clarity. It makes our writing more professional and easier to understand. That’s important because if a proposal isn’t clear, a good sustainable project might not get approved.
One specific problem I face as a civil engineering student is sentence structure.
In engineering, we often write long and complex sentences to explain technical ideas. The problem is that these sentences can become confusing or poorly organized. Sometimes the ideas are good, but the way they are structured makes them hard to understand.
For example, when writing a technical report, if a sentence is too long or not clearly organized, the reader might misunderstand important information. In the future, this could affect project communication, safety explanations, or proposals.
So even if we understand engineering concepts well, weak sentence structure can make our writing unclear and less professional.
Let's open Virtual Writing Tutor.
First, open a new tab in your browser.
Then, go to the address bar at the top of the screen and type www.virtualwritingtutor.com
, then press Enter.
When the website opens, you’ll see the logo in the top left-hand corner. In the top right-hand corner, you’ll find the menu and the login option if you want to sign in.
If you click on a link in the menu, it will take you to different writing tools.
In the middle of the screen, there is a large text area where you can copy and paste your writing. After pasting your text, look for the buttons near the writing section to check your work.
In the bottom right-hand corner, you may see small icons for extra options or support.
The website is organized and easy to navigate, which makes it simple to use.
The website analyzes my writing and highlights problems with sentence structure. Sentence structure means how words are organized in a sentence — for example, the order of the subject, verb, and object, or whether a sentence is too long or confusing.
The tool gives feedback and suggestions to make my sentences clearer and better organized. By following these suggestions, I can improve my writing step by step.
This helps me become more confident and professional in my future career as a civil engineer.
For example : When the engineer finished the report.
Then you click on the writing advice button then you see in the bottom if your sentence is correct formulated
