Welcome everybody! I hope today's video will be helpful for you. If you're new here, my name is Frederic Gagnon and I am studying in Social Sciences, but I want to work in carpentry
Since I'm originally French, I encounter many difficulties when it comes to communicating with native anglophone, and I know some of you do to! Most of the time I forgot all of my words when it's the time to communicate with people. It's so much frustrating and nobody wants to be in this situation right? I want to be able to say everything I want even field worlds related. I think that everybody wants that!
I have been studying English since primary, and I'm in my last year of College, now that I'm going to start in a new field, I want to become better in communication. Even though I've studied English for a long time after my third year of secondary I didn't learn much, this session is the first one that helped me learned more. This year made me do some research on my field and I feel like I can now help others!
I have been working in carpentry for two years, and I learned much more than I could've dreamed of in such small-time. In these two years I saw how crucial is having good communication tools. Seeing my dad struggling with some words when communicating to clients made me realise that in this field you need to have a great English!
My goal is to help you, using the Virtual Writing Tutor, to write emails that are completed and clear for the clients and the manufacturers you work with.
I want you guys to follow step-by-step this tutorial on how to write a good emails in carpentry.
When it comes to writing a simple emails, most of us can manage. However, using the right field words and explaining everything in a clear, and simple manner is the real deal.
If you don't use the right words to explain the situation, it could lead to misinterpretation, confusion and even problems on the construction site.
For example, if you want to know which wood siding they want, and you ask them which wood sidings they want there will be confusion because using the plural of siding implies that you are talking several sidings when the clients wanted only one.
To make sure that these types of situations don't happen, I found the solution. I'll show you exactly how to solve this problem.
