Hi! My name is Eve, and I am in Social Science. I have been in this program for 2 years at Cegep of Sherbrooke. My program studies human beings, their behaviors, their thinking and their social interactions. Mostly, I study this subject by a lot of courses like, Psychology, Sociology, and History. Grammar plays a significant role in the correction of homework. As a future teacher, I will also need to write texts for exams and communicate with parents through emails. So, It is essential that grammars errors be checked carefully.

My plan is to show you virtual writing tutor, a website that has a grammar checker who eliminate errors in texts.

I will show you the website step-by-step.

Writing is an essential tool in the teaching profession, primarily for assessing students and communicating with colleagues or parents.

If you make mistakes in your writing, you could make a bad impression by your colleague, and even leading children to make mistakes when writing.

In doing our work, we can't make mistakes in writing. But with virtual writing tutor, I have the solution!

I will show you exactly how to use it. To start add a new tab. Open your browser and write the URL Virtual writing tutor dot com in the address bar at the top of the screen, in the middle. Press enter and the website should appear.

In the top left corner, you are supposed to see the logo Virtual Writing tutor. In that case, you are in the good website. In the top right corner, there are a settings menu where you can access all the options that the website offers. Just at the bottom the logo, you have navigation menu. You can also click on the arrow on the top right of the navigation menu to see more option. If you go in writing tools, you can see several options for improving your writing and comprehension skills. For example, you have a glossary creator or a screencast scripts creator. Also, you can use lessons. This option can increase your speaking skills by talking to a chatbot. You can also use this option to practice your writing skills.

Now, we can finally talk about the solution. You can click on the back arrow in the top left corner. You are now at the home page. In the middle of the screen you will see a text area. In the top left in the text area, you have the instructions. It says that you can type, copy-paste your text here.The text area is going to correct your grammar errors. I will give you an example of a short email that I will copy-paste: Dear parent,I would like to meet with you about Sarah's behavior. She has a negative attitudes towards her classmates. She doesn't respect the clas rules, nor the suport I offer her to help her adapt. Thank you for your understanding and have a good day. I click on the check grammar submit button, at the top left of the text area. In that case, you are going to scroll down to the feedback section. Words with a grammatical error will be underlined in red. The website will give a feedback about your error and a suggestion to correct your error. Also, if you want to improve your writing, you could use the button in the left of check grammar. If I click there, it will propose other ways to rephrase the sentence. This can help you use more diverse vocabulary when communicating with the parents of the students.
