Hello everyone, my name is Adriano Persichino and I've been studying Natural science at Montmorency College for about a year now. For those of you who don't know about Natural science let me explain it for you. It's a program that they offer in CEGEPS in Quebec where students study a vast number of classes that will be useful later in university if ever the student wants to study in medicine or engineering. One of the classes that I am studying now and that I will talk about in this video is biology.
Now, I know for a fact that I'm not the only one who wants to do well in school right?
I'll admit, at the beginning of the semester I wasn't that good of a student, but I've come a long way since then!
For my last few exams in biology I've been getting high scores that even go higher than 90%!
My plan for this screen cast is to show you all my perfect solution for getting straight As in biology.
This video should take about 3 minutes. So, please watch all the way to the end.
It's surprising to see what you can do with this website that I'm going to show you all.
So, during my semester, the main problem for students that are studying biology is that there are a lot of terms to remember, sometimes it gets overwhelming in trying to remember them all by heart.
If ever you forget or mix some terms up, there is a high chance you can make a mistake during an exam and loose points.
For example, imagine your teacher ask you to describe what the term mitoses is, but you mix the definition up with the one for méioses, since their very similar.
To try and remember every term for biology can be difficult, but don't worry I will show you all the method I found to solve it.
For starters, open your browser. Then, type the URL Virtual Writing Tutor dot com in the address bar and click enter. If you typed it correctly, then you should be able to see this page.
At the top on the left, you'll see the logo of the website with the navigational menu, then on the right side, you see the link that will let you log into the Virtual Writing Tutot. After logging in if you look at the navigational menu theirs the writing tools section, Once you click on it a scroll-down menu will appear and click the one that says "Glossary Creator".
Now, the solution I to the problem I mentioned is that o be able to remember all the terms you need to remember is by creating a glossary where you put the definition of every term you need one by one with a few examples to help. Now let me show you what to do: First things you're going to do is give your glossary a title by writing in the case where it says, "New Glossary Title" and then click new glossary. Then under where it says Editor you're going to click on the little icon button next to topic whereas you guest it you're going to write biology and what's great about this is that it gives you a chance to sentence case what you write and also check your grammar. Then you're going to click on the "Save" button, and you can see what you wrote under preview on the right of the screen.
I promised I would show how to find a way to help you remember specific terms for your biology class, and I did it by using the website Virtual Writing Tutor.
If you found this screencast useful, please leave a comment and show it to anyone else who is having this same problem in biology.
