Welcome!
I’ve got a great video for you today. If you don’t already know, my name is Taïna, and I talk about community resources, social services, and how you can find help when you need it most. I am also a student in Delinquency Intervention Techniques, which also relates to the helping relationship. For those of you who don’t know about 211 Grand Montreal, it’s a community referral service that helps connect people with the social and community services they need — from food banks to mental health resources to housing assistance and more.
Like you, I believe everyone deserves a second chance. Nobody wants to see people struggle without support. I know I don’t. And if you’re like me, you care about creating a safer, more supportive community for everyone. Everybody needs help sometimes because some do not know how to get it themselves. It’s so easy to feel overwhelmed when facing life’s challenges alone, don’t you think?
We all want to live in a society where people look out for one another, right? But too many people face obstacles they shouldn’t have to face. Together, by offering support, empathy, and strong intervention services, we can make a real difference.
Too many people suffer in silence because of domestic violence.
If victims don’t get help early, the abuse could become more dangerous.
If signs of domestic violence are ignored, serious harm could happen.
If survivors don’t have support, they may stay trapped in abusive relationships.
If professionals fail to intervene properly, lives could be lost.
For example, suppose you need a safe place to take your kids away from an abusive partner.
Imagine that you are a mother scared of violence at home and don’t know where to get help.
Take for instance the case of a mom who finally finds support after years of abuse.
This can be hard, but do not worry. I have found a solution.
So, to start, you will go on the Internet and type 211 Grand Montreal.
Then, in the search box, you will enter a keyword related to your current situation — for example, domestic violence. Next, you will enter the city where you live, or the city where you want to look for help. After that, you will see a variety of options, and you will click on the one that suits you best depending on the services you are looking for.
If you or someone you know ever needs support, don’t hesitate to visit 211 Grand Montreal — it could make all the difference.
And if you found this video helpful, make sure to like, share, and subscribe for more resources and tips. Together, we can build a stronger, safer community.
