My name is Abdullah Hussain, and I am 19 years old.
I am studying Computer Science, more specifically Networking, and I am about to start my second year in this program.
In this program, we learn how to create and manage networks for big companies.
We need to know how to set up networks, protect them, and make sure they work well.

With this knowledge, I could work as a network technician, a cybersecurity analyst, or a network administrator.
Some people also become ethical hackers or IT support specialists.

In my Networking class, the teacher goes very fast because he has limited time. I saw that many first-year students get mixed up because the teacher explains too quickly.

Students can’t study well if they don’t understand the basics. This is a big problem because if you don’t get it from the start, it gets harder later. Networking is like a language — you need to understand the first thing to understand the next things. Every lesson is connected to what you learned before, but it becomes more difficult each time.

To fix this problem, I use a very helpful website: Cisco.com. First, open a new tab and write Cisco.com in the search bar.

When you arrive on the website, look in the top right corner. You will see a Login button.
This website is usually given by your school. So, if you are in this program, your teacher will give you the login information.
Click on the Login button at the top right and enter your school account information. Once you are logged in, you will see in the middle of your screen many suggestions you can click.
If you are in your first class, you usually start there and click on the play button.

When you are inside, look at the top left side — you will see Course Outline and Resources.
The Course Outline shows what you learn in class, more like the theory part.
In Resources, you can find the labs you can do to practice.
This is very good because you can read the theory and then do the labs by yourself.
It helps you understand better and not feel lost when the teacher goes too fast.

So now, you know how to use Cisco to understand your Networking class better and not feel lost when the teacher goes too fast. I showed you this because I know it really helps students, especially in the first year.
