Hello, my name is Lorry. For those of you who don't know about me, I've been studying in the Natural Sciences program at Ahuntsic College for a year now. This program includes courses like chemistry, Biology, and Physics as well as general education subjects. Like many Science students, I find it hard sometimes to keep up with all the information, especially in biology and chemistry. But, I’ve worked hard to improve, and I'm proud of the progress I've made so far. I choose this program because I want to become a doctor, and I know how important it is to build strong study habits and use the right resources. That's why, in this screencast, I promise to show you a useful tool that can really help students understand science better. If you are someone who wants to succeed in these subjects, keep watching, this might make your Life easier.
In chemistry, we use a lot of chemical products, and each one has its own way of being handled. Every product comes with its own dangers. That's why we use a Safety Data Sheet (SDS), which contains important information such as the product's hazards, how to use it safely, what to do in case of an emergency, how to store it, and how to dispose of it properly.
To access the website, you have to write 3 eonline.com in the address bar, and you should see a page like this appear. Then, you have to click on "Log in" where it says 3e Protect. Normally, your teacher is supposed to give you the username and the password. Once you enter them, there will be this new page. Next, you have to click on SDS and there will be another page. The next step is to enter the name of the chemical product here. But first, you can use the drop-down menu here to select the type of information you want about the product. For example, I'm going to put Hydrochloric acid press on search. Now I have all the types of Hydrochloric acid and their manufacturer's name. This tool is a solution to help you find the Safety information you need about a chemical product. The next step is to click on this little icon on the left-hand side of the screen to open the Safety Data Sheet of the selected product. Then, you click on "action" in the top left corner of the screen and "view SDS and attachments". If you want to explore more Data, you can scroll down the page. Each section is clearly defined to show specific information such as hazards, precautions, and chemical properties.
To finish, 3e online is a great platform for science students. As I said in the beginning, it can be easily integrated into a class or used independently by students to review important concepts. I promised to show you a useful tool for learning, and teaching, and I believe I have demonstrated its potential clearly. I have kept my promise, and I Hope this has helped you better understand how to use 3e online. Thanks for watching.
