Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well, my name is Carl Bradley Fortuné and welcome to my mid-term oral. This is the perfect video, for those of you who don't know about Virtual Writing Tutor and about my field of study.
So, I've been studying Computer Science for almost two years at Cégep Ahunstic. It is a very difficult program so, it is not for everyone. What interests me the most about it is cyber-security. Later I would like to be a cyber-security technician in company like Ubisoft Montreal.
OK, let me explain my field of study. Computer science is a program where you can learn a lot about computers. There are lots of courses where you can learn what a computer is made of and how to build one yourself! There are also courses where you can learn to code, so you can program software that you can sell or keep for yourself. And courses on how to protect data. This field of study is incredibly huge, since you can choose to be a programmer or a data protection technician, because this program has two profiles.
There are a lot of terms and words in computer science and some of them could be difficult to remember how to spell it or write it correctly. And, if you want to look like a guy who knows his thing you'll need to write and spell them like a pro.
If you're a computer technician who doesn't know what is the name of the tool he needs to use, you'll lose a lot of credibility. Even if, your tool is a physical object or a software, you need to know what are their name.
To solve this problem we'll use Virtual Writing Tutor website which is a very useful tool to learn English
The VirtualWritingTutor site can help you solve your problem, as it contains tools to correct a word you've written and hear how it's pronounced in English.
First of all, we will go on google chrome. Then click on the address bar and write virtualwritingtutor.com.
When you arrive on the site, there's a lot you can do. In the middle of the screen, there's a text box where you can write a text. Then, by clicking on the sound icon at the bottom right of the text box, you can listen to the pronunciation of the words you've written.
What's more, at the top left of the text box, you can correct grammatical errors by clicking on the Check grammar icon.
You can also create a glossary of the words in your field of study by clicking on the Writing tools icon and going to Glossary creator. Then click on the video tutorial icon in the central left-hand corner of the screen to see how to create a glossary. There are many other uses for this site, but what I've just said is the most essential.
Now here is where you want to go to find the solution to the specific problem I mentioned before.
OK, now I will be in the skin of a computer technician. For example, I need to take notes of what job I did on a computer. So, I will click in the text area and write power suppli remove, is used a allin screwdriver. Then, if I click on the submit button check grammar, it will show me if I did some errors. Now I will correct my grammar and I'll click on the audio logo In the bottom right corner of the text area to hear what's the pronunciation of my note.
Now I have learned how to write and spell a sentence in computer science!
So, if you're in Computer Science or a related field, this is how you solve the problem of not knowing how to write or spell a word in your program.
That's how this website works, I hope you'll use it, have a nice day.
