The hardships of accounting

Introduction

Hello everyone and welcome to my first screencast video. My name is Hiba and I will be discussing the problems that can occur in my field of study: accounting. For those who don't know, our courses teach us how to provide correctly various services like doing taxes, recording the products that are going in and out of the company and more.

Like most of you, I encounter some difficulties in my own field of study. We're in constant learning so being confused or making mistakes should be a mundane thing now but no one likes feeling confused even when it's a subject they don't master. I mean, it's only human to want to be good at what we do and we all wish to be good at our future job, right?

I've been in my program for around a year and a half, and yet there are things that do not change. I'm not the best at math, if anything I'm more of an artist, so I tend to take a while to pick up things at the beginning. It doesn't deter my motivation to learn from experts and improve in order for me to keep up with my classmates, and I think that's quite an admirable trait.

Like most, I also have achievements I'm rather proud of. Most notably when I was able to score 97% on an exam most people had failed after the teacher had warned us how difficult it was. It felt amazing to see my efforts show up on that paper.

The goal of this video will be to provide you with my help, so you can overcome future problems I might have encountered

It won't take long so buckle up and enjoy the ride!

You'll be surprised by how helpful this will be so stay tuned!

The Problem

As a student in accounting, I know just as much as my peers that the beginning is overwhelming. You learn a bunch of words you've never heard in your life, and you have to understand what they do and how they interact with each other all that in a whopping 4-5 months time. It feels like too much and not enough time.

If you forget, or get distracted, it's easy to mismatch a certain account with another or forget what they do. This can be hurtful in the long term, because you'll usually carry these misconceptions with you since teachers don't have time to go over older material again due to their short-time limited teaching time.

Imagine that you are in an exam and as you read through it there are some words you don't seem to recognize at all. You know how to do the calculations because you practiced them, but you're unable to fully fill up your answers simply because some definitions were hazy on your mind. It's incredibly frustrating!

But don't worry. I got your back and I'll provide you with a way to make sure you can always have those definitions on hand! Just stick with me as I explain and pay close attention.

The Quest

First, make sure you have a readied-up computer close by! You'll be needing to open whichever browser you use and type this into the address bar: www.virtualwritingtutor.com. Make sure you've entered your letters correctly or else you won't end up on the desired website. When all is good and done, this page will be showing up!

On the top left you'll see the logo in blue and black. You can use it to go back to the home screen since no matter what page you're on it'll be there. Now still, at the top, from the left to the right you'll have the most important part of the website: the navigation screen. It permits you to access the websites most important features. One of my favourite features being the "writing tools".Don't forget to scroll down the bar, so you don't miss information accidentally.

The Solution

Now, here is the part where I'll describe the solution to the problem we earlier went over. First, you'll type in the URL in your search bar: www.virtualwritingtutor.com and log in your account. Now the front page should show up. On that page, take a look at the navigation menu till you see "Writing tools".Your answer to your problems will be the third option: "Glossary creator". This is where you'll be writing the words you need along with their definition. Now you you will always have a place to look back on during times when you doubt a terms' usage or definition!

The Conclusion

Just like promised, I showed you how to ensure you wouldn't be stuck on a word simply because you forgot. All of this thanks for the glossary feature www.virtualwritingtutor.com!

Hopefully this will be as useful for you as it was for me! Naturally, I'm also hoping that fellow accounting students share what helped them as well. In this way we can create a community that helps one another towards the road of success.Sharing is caring and thank you for sticking with me the whole way!
