Hi everyone, I recorded a great video for you today. For those of you who don't know about me, my name is Graziella Tajo. I take courses in electrical engineering-automation and control. In this field, we are often asked to write down a report of a given programme including the functioning of different machines in industries. In order to do that we will need good writing skills.
We all want to succeed at school right? Of course, we do. But there are so many obstacles to overcome. If like me, you don't want to get low scores because of simple mistakes, then you need to watch this video.
I am not an expert in writing reports, but with practice, I have been gaining a lot.
The aim of this video is to help you check on your grammar and vocabulary when doing your reports for the good understanding of everyone.
This video will take just 5 minutes and trust me.
You'll be amazed with how simple the next step is.
Most often during your automation laboratories, you are required to develop a given program and write down a good and clear report on what you've done in the lab, all that in 3 hours. From my experience, 3 hours is not sufficient for all this procedure.
If your report doesn't match with the functioning of the machine program, you might lose a lot of points, because even if you've programmed well the machine, with the help of your report we must be able to reproduce the same program at anytime without you.
Take for instance, you are asked to write down a good report on how to develop a program on the functioning of this machine of containers using the LADDER and the GRAFCET method.
All of these might seem difficult but don't worry, I'll show you exactly what to do and use when you come across this type of assignment.
In other to get started, open your browser. Type virtual writing tutor into the address bar and hit enter. Once you type it correctly, you will see this page. Also, if you don't yet have a premium account, you can use this link: https://labodanglais.com/mod/lti/view.php?id=69819. By using this, you will have direct access to the website and create an account.
On the navigation menu, there are several options proposed to you, but you are going to click on improve writing after pasting your original work.
Now here all you have to do is to write down or paste your report you've written down with all your errors. Click on the top left-hand side of the screen where you see "improve writing". You will see where and which error you've done so far and correct yourself. In case you are not sure again, click on " improve writing" once more till you get a 0% error.
For anybody who studies in electrical engineering-automation and control or a closely related field, this is how you can solve any grammar and vocabulary errors on your reports.
