Welcome to my YouTube channel. My name is Nisrine Rougaibi. I am studying Business at Ahuntsic College. In this program, we take courses in business, economics, math, commerce and so much more. This is my last session. In this screen cast I will show you how to have a proper vocabulary relate to the business world.

It can be difficult to understand every world relate to the business world. Some words are not common. These words are specific, and they are not use in everyday conversation.

So, it can be confusing, and it can harm your work. Especially when English is not your first language.

For example, if you are in a meeting with a company based in Seattle. They will use some uncommon word relate to your field. And it can be harmful to the relation between the company and you.

But do not worry, because today I will show you how to prepare and improve your vocabulary.

First, you’ll have to open your browser and then type the URL ; « virtualwritingtutor.com ».

You will see this page if you type the URL correctly. At the top right you are supposed to see the logo Virtual Writing Tutor. Under the logo you can see the navigation menu. In the middle of the screen there is a text area. This area will help you with grammar and a lot of other things. But today I will show you how to make your own Glossary.

Now you have to go in the navigation menu and click on Writing Tools. You are supposed to see a menu. Now you click on the third one from the top. So, 1 2 3 the third one is called Glossary Creator. After, you click on Glossary Creator you are supposed to see this page. At the top write there is a link to see Video tutorial and at the top left the link is for examples. These links are there for you if you want more information. Now, we are going to focus on Create New Glossary. You need to put a title in text area and click on New Glossary. This page will show. You can put a topic for example business word and a little introduction about yourself or why you chose to do the glossary. Term 1 you need to insert a word of your choices in this case I choose the word income. Income is a noun. In the section pronunciation you can add an audio to help you pronounce the word. Next, you can add a definition from the internet and add a translation in the language you are more comfortable with. Add an example to help with the context of the world. You can add an image to visualize a word, but it is not mandatory. You can put all the word you need to help you during you work. Now, I will show you my Glossary.

This how you create a Glossary to help you with the Business Vocabulary and to improve your understanding.
