Hey Youtube! I have a new video for you. If you don't know it yet, my name is Antoine Sirois. For those of you who don't know anything about Police Technology, I'm here to help. This program involves a lot of courses. For example, we have criminology who teaches us the science behind the crime. We have a self defense class to learn how to fight, and we also have a course about physical conditioning who help us to be more in shape.
Nobody wants to be embarrassed because they've used a word without knowing the sense of it.
My English is not the best, but I really got better after a lot of practice,
I've been in Police Technology for almost a year and a half now.
The idea here is to help you guys to be better when you talk or write for your future career as a police officer.
Now, I want you to stay focus and listen. The next 3 minutes are going to be really useful so make a commitment to this video.
You're not going to believe what you can learn on this amazing website. Let me show you!
When you work as a police officer, you need to be able to talk with the citizen and help him without errors and with words that you actually know the definition. Your English needs to be on point.
Then, if you can't, the citizen could lose trust in the police or be a victim again.
For example, let's say that you are a police officer on the street and someone come talk to you in a hurry because the need help a soon as possible. They need resources, direction, process with a judge, whatever. The only issue is that they only speak English and you speak English like a 7th grader. This person will not feel safe, comfortable and understood.
This type of interaction can be stressful. But relax, I've found a solution. In a couple of minutes, I'll show you step-by-step how to fix your problem. I know exactly what to do in this situation.
First, write that exact URL that I show you right now into the address bar and then click enter. It is supposed to get you to this page.
In the top left corner of the screen, you can see the logo of the website. Right below the logo, we have the navigation menu where you click and navigate around the website. In the middle of the screen, there is a text area. That is what I will use today.
I'm going to show you an example of a sentence you will say in policing. The crime scene is really big, we need to do a crowd control. Now, you click on the check grammar button, and you can see your errors and your words count. If you're not sure about the pronunciation, click on the text-to-speech button in the bottom right corner of the text area.
If you think about going in policing or any related field, that's how you help yourself at getting better at English based on your field of study. I did show you how, now do it yourself!
Now, click the follow button and activate the little bell for my next video, see ya!
