- The evaluation of a patient’s condition.
- Example: A rapid assessment was completed at the scene.

- Cardiac arrest
- noun
- A sudden loss of heart function.
- Example: Immediate CPR is essential during cardiac arrest.

- Cyanosis
- noun
- A bluish discoloration of the skin caused by lack of oxygen.
- Example: Cyanosis around the lips indicated respiratory distress.

- Edema
- noun
- Swelling caused by excess fluid trapped in body tissues.
- Example: Pulmonary edema made breathing difficult for the patient.

- noun
- A medication used to treat cardiac arrest and severe allergic reactions.
