Computer

An electronic device for storing and processing data, typically in binary form, according to instructions given to it in a variable program.
Example: With the aid of a COMPUTER, concordances of many kinds can be made with comparatively little difficulty. Students of literature who used concordance packages on mainframes commonly asked the COMPUTER to produce for them a complete print - out of their chosen concordance, and then took it home to consult in the traditional manner, turning the pages of a sheaf of paper. Producing several hundred pages of hard copy with a desk - top COMPUTER and printer would be a long and tedious business.

Headset
noun
A set of headphones, typically with a microphone attached, used especially in telephone, computer and radio communication.
Example: To purchase a computer headset and to practise using it at home over the next week and to take it to work to use within two weeks.

Keyboard
noun
A keyboard is a primary input device used to enter text, numbers, symbols, and commands into computers, laptops, or mobile devices.
Example: I found that when entering the "ATS0=1" in the keyboard, the voltage on the pin dropped from high to low, indicating that the ASCII string is sent through RS232 and accepted as AT commands.

Mouse
noun
A small handheld device that is dragged across a flat surface to move the cursor on a computer screen, typically having buttons that are pressed to control functions.
Example: Rolling the middle button of mouse forward and backward, the viewpoint on the object will be zoomed in and zoomed out and holding the left button the object can be driven to move around the drawn window.

Printer
noun
A machine for printing text or pictures onto paper, especially one linked to a computer.
Example: When all pages have been checked and approved, they will then be sent to the printer.

Router
noun
A device that forwards data packets to the appropriate parts of a computer network.
Example: ROUTER and switch configurations, firewall rules and programming, server access, restrictions, and policies are all important and disruption or change to these could cause the operation of the internal network, or the connection to the internet (and thus customers) to be threatened.

Speaker

An apparatus that converts electrical impulses into sound.
Example: With the following basic AT commands, you can make calls directly, select the dialing method (tone or pulse), control the speaker volume, and perform a number of other basic modem operations.

USB Cable

A USB (Universal Serial Bus) cable is a standardized cable used to connect, power, and transfer data between computers, peripherals (printers, keyboards), and mobile devices.
Example: It also has the bonuses that it has a built in sound card, for audio input and output, and USB connectivity for easy connection to the modem and phone lines.
