Air
Noun
the invisible gaseous substance surrounding the earth, a mixture mainly of oxygen and nitrogen
Example: An outbreak of Legionnaires' disease associated with contaminated AIR-conditioning cooling tower.
fr: Air
null
Boiler
Noun
a fuel-burning apparatus or container for heating water
Example: The steam quality is important, and contamination of the food product by steam pipe corrosion or BOILER feed water additives must be eliminated
fr: Chaudière

Building
Noun
a structure with a roof and walls, such as a house, school, store, or factory
Example: Oak has long been a commonly used BUILDING material across Europe, with a strong presence in the archaeological record.
fr: Bâtiment
null
Duct
Noun
a tube or passageway in a building or machine for air, liquid, cables, etc
Example: s on both sides of the heat exchanger. Construction material is aluminium, conductivity 173 W mK, cost £1.65 Kg. Overheads of 400% apply to the aluminium used in the heat exchanger, fresh air DUCT and casing.
fr: conduit
null
Electricity
noun
Electricity is a form of energy resulting from the existence and movement of charged particles, primarily electrons, through a conductor.
Example: In use, allowance is made for delivery by van to the home but amounts of water, ELECTRICITY, and cleaner consumed in cleaning and maintenance are considered to be negligible.
fr: Électricité
null
Freezing
Noun
(of a liquid) be turned into ice or another solid as a result of extreme cold.
Example: It is often linked to winter, and this is depicted as cold and lonely in the poem, through the mention of 'alone' in line four and the image of a 'FREEZING' path.
fr: Gel
null
gaz
Noun
a substance like air. Oxygen, Hydrogen and other gases
Example: The companies that might be interested and have the financial capability to bid for Centrica PLC are Royal Dutch Shell, GAZ de France, Norsk Hydro, E.ON Group, RWE Group, etc.
fr: Gaz

Globe valve
Noun
A globe valve is an instrument used to stop and/or control the flow of fluids in a pipeline.
fr: Valve à globe
null
Louver
Noun
a domed structure on a roof, with side openings for ventilation
Example: The louvered fins cannot be analysed properly. Data for LOUVER gap and spacing cannot be utilised, and so the louvered fins were analysed in an identical way to the plain-plate fins.
fr: Persienne
null
Pipe
Noun
a tube of metal, plastic, or other material used to convey water, gas, oil, or other fluid substances.
Example: The pipeline is able to draw more of the flow of the river at low river flow rates, as there will likely be excess capacity in the PIPE Other losses (i.e. air in the PIPE) will influence the flow rate of the water in the PIPE (Table 1), which cannot be accurately accounted for.
fr: Tuyau
null
Plumbing
Noun
the system of pipes, tanks, fittings, and other apparatus required for the water supply, heating, and sanitation in a building.
Example: Those families that had external water supplies were three times more likely to be infected with H.pylori than those with internal PLUMBING.
fr: Plomberie
null
system
Noun
a engineered method comprising air supply and exhaust, designed to exchange indoor air with fresh, outside air
Example: Factors contributing to China's sustainability concerns In order to understand China's present situation, it is important to consider how the country has developed and worked to achieve the agricultural SYSTEM seen today.
fr: système
Ventilation
Noun
The provision of fresh air to a room, building, etc.
Example: VENTILATION By operating various element of the building fabric, such a retractable roof, motorized windows and pneumatic dampers, it is possible to automatically regulate the VENTILATION system for increased efficiency and increased occupant control.
fr: Ventilation
null
Water
Noun
a colorless, transparent, odorless liquid that forms the seas, lakes, rivers, and rain and is the basis of the fluids of living organisms.
Example: Zn, Cu Fe and S are the most important micronutrient deficient in Sri Lanka, while exception is Fe toxicity frequently reported in Wet Zone which is associated with excess WATER.
fr: Eau
