It's been 2 and a half years that I'm in the program. I think that my glossary will be interesting for my coworker. In French, we do know the glossary for our terms. In English, it's a bit more complicated. Special care counseling is a technique that helps, follow and push people to their limit. Often those people are sad, have a mental disorder, and so long. My job is to help them stabilize and find solution to their problem
- 1. Alzheimer/dementia
- It’s a chronic neurodegenerative disease that destroys brain cells, causing thinking ability and memory to decline over time.
- 4. Behaviorism theory
- It’s a theory of learning that suggests that all behaviors are acquired through conditioning processes.
- Anxiety
- It’s an uncomfortable feeling of nervousness or worry about something that is happening or might happens.
- Attitude
- It’s the particular way a person thinks or feels about something or someone.
- Autism
- It’s a developmental disorder with symptoms that appear within the first three years of life.
- Behaviour
- It’s a theory of learning that suggests that all behaviors are acquired through conditioning processes.
- Centration
- It’s the act of focusing all attention on one characteristic or dimension of a situation.
- Child development
- It’s the biological, psychological, and emotional changes that occur in human beings between birth and the conclusion of adolescence.

- Its disorders involve problems with memory, identity, emotion, perception, behavior and sense of self.

- It’s a strong feeling such as love or anger, or strong feelings in general.

- It’s an individual aspires to become, embodying the traits, values, and qualities that they deem most desirable.

- It’s a state of poor health or sickness.

- It’s a state of mental well-being that enables people to cope with the stresses of life, realize their abilities, learn and work well, and contribute to their community.

- It’s a team comprises professionals from different disciplines who come together to provide comprehensive care and support for patients.

- It’s an extreme fear of a particular thing or situation.

- It’s an unfair and unreasonable opinion or feeling, especially when formed without enough thought.

- It’s a theory suggests that personality develops through a series of stages centered around different erogenous zones.
- Social norm
- It’s a shared standard of acceptable behavior by a group.
- Supportive relationship
- It’s connections between individuals that foster mutual respect, trust, and emotional support. These relationships prioritize understanding and valuing each other.
