This glossary was created to explain some vocabulary relates to the Social Science of sport.It’s supposed to help people and more students to understand the topic.We can learn about the culture, the values and traditions.I made this to organize and clarify some terms by definitions and exemples.
Belief
It’s a noun
an acceptance that a statement is true or that something exists.
Example: There is also the Causal theory that says that S' BELIEF in P must be caused by the fact that P.

It’s a phrase
to engage in a contest, rivalry, or struggle with another person, team, or entity to determine who is superior, faster, or more successful.
Example: Second, if the agricultural industries in partner countries all COMPETE AGAINST third suppliers, protection by one partner offers the opportunity to free-ride to the other member states.

It’s a verb
grow or cause to grow and become more mature, advanced, or elaborate.
Example: The capacity of unions to DEVELOP 'organizational flexibility' (Taylor, 2001, p.12) to attract the new category of non-standard and contingent workers still remains unproven.

Encourage participation
It’s a phrase ( noun )
actively motivating, inviting, and creating an inclusive environment that gives individuals the confidence and support to take part in activities, discussions, or decision-making processes.
Example: 2002). A number of focus group sessions may have raised more issues of stigmatism as it encourages group interaction and helps to monitor changes in attitudes and opinions, can ENCOURAGE PARTICIPATION from reluctant interviewees and also the responses of many people on the same subject can be gained in a short period of time (Ogier, 1998).

When everyone has the same rights and opportunities.
Example: divergence towards this when people of two different dialects conflict. The increase in mobility of people also means that we are more knowledgeable of other dialects, and with knowledge comes acceptance, and therefore 'EQUALITY'.

Example: The Mukama holds a great deal of importance and POWER as the head of state which is shown through; his ancestral roots and the affect he has on Bunyoro society.

collaborating or cooperating with others to achieve a shared, common goal or task
Example: Social cohesion is also indicated by the fact that herding a group of animals off the edge of a cliff would have taken multiple people WORKING TOGETHER and would have required knowledge of the movement of different herds in order to successfully intercept them.
