This glossary was made to get familiar with the Social Sciences vocabulary with 20 terms related to this field of study, images, translation to French, and pronunciation models. I used Actively Engaged Online to help me find the vocabulary and Google to find the definitions. Master these terms so that you can discuss Social Sciences with ease.

Help (someone), typically by doing a share of the work.
Example: N2J and Ace Telecom Trading Ltd -v- Cater Allen, (Unreported, 21February 2006), see: Baker Platt, When is Suspicion Reasonable, 2006 There also appears to be a difference between the combined (objective and subjective) test for dishonesty when 'knowingly ASSISTING' in breach of trust and the objective test for disclosure under POCA.

The power to influence or direct people's behavior or the course of events.
Example: I think the main reasons for theses changes can be attributed to her early syncretism within her own country, her association with the sea (so Greek traders were more likely to learn her name, with their own associations with the sea) and finally her Oriental mysticism and eventual perceived overall dominion, with a CONTROL over fate in troubled times.

Example: Foucalt argues; 'It would be just as wrong to equate the author with the real writer as to equate him with the fictitious speaker;' p112 which suggests that the contemporary author, like gender is now a PROBLEMATIC, multiple concept that resists definition.
