Cell biology

Branch of biology dealing with the structure, function, and life history of cells and their constituents
Example: He learned about the cell's function in his cell biology course.

Differential calculus
noun
A branch of mathematics concerned chiefly with the study of the rate of change of functions with respect to their variables especially through the use of derivatives and differentials
Example: He is practicing the new theory for his differential calculus exam.

Electricity and magnetism
noun
A type of engineering that deals with the uses of electricity
Example: He is teaching his friend electricity and magnetism.

English
noun
English language, literature, or composition when a subject of study
Example: They are reading a book in their english class.

noun
A Romance language that developed out of the Vulgar Latin spoken in northern and central Transalpine Gaul and that became the literary and official language of France

General chemistry
noun
Branch of chemistry where you learn about the molecules and the base of chemistry
Example: He is learning the Lewis notation in his general chemistry course.

Integral calculus
noun
A branch of mathematics concerned with the theory and applications (as in the determination of lengths, areas, and volumes and in the solution of differential equations) of integrals and integration
Example: He is learning how to integrate mathematical terms.

Linear algebra
noun
A branch of mathematics that is concerned with mathematical structures closed under the operations of addition and scalar multiplication and that includes the theory of systems of linear equations, matrices, determinants, vector spaces, and linear transformations
Example: He is learning about the three dimensions in his linear algebra course.

mechanical physics
noun
A branch of engineering concerned primarily with the industrial application of mechanics and with the production of tools, machinery, and their products

Philosophy
noun
A search for a general understanding of values and reality by chiefly speculative rather than observational means
Example: They are learning about evolution in his philosophy class.

Instruction in the development and care of the body ranging from simple calisthenic exercises to a course of study providing training in hygiene, gymnastics, and the performance and management of athletic games

A branch of mathematics concerned with the study of probabilities and statistics
