Algorithm

An algorithm is a set of instructions designed to perform a specific task. The process is used in calculations or other problem-solving operations, especially by a computer.
Example: I created an algorithm to do multiplications.

Backup
noun
Backup is a copy of one or more files created as an alternate in case the original data is lost or becomes unusable. It can be done on USB flash drive, hard drive or the cloud.
Example: I saved a backup of my pictures on my SSD.

CPU(Central processing unit)

The CPU is the primary component of a computer that controls all the other parts of the system and processes instructions. It executes programs and applications.
Example: The CPU consists of a minicomputer, a computer console and page printer, a magnetic tape transport and a magnetic disk memory unit

Data

Computer data is information that is stored and processed digitally on a computer. Data on a computer can take many forms, including text, images, audio, or video. It may be processed and loaded into memory then stored as files in folders on a hard drive or solid-state drive.
Example: The secretary enters data into the computer.

A database is a structured, organized collection of data stored on a computer system.
Example: The library has a pretty big database on books, articles and media.

Example: Google.com is the most popular domain name worldwide.

Encryption
noun
Encryption is the process of converting data to an unrecognizable or "encrypted" form. It is commonly used to protect sensitive information so that only authorized parties can view it.
Example: Some encrypted files require a password to open.

Interface
noun
The term "interface" can refer to either a hardware connection or a user interface. It can also be used as a verb, describing how two devices connect to each other.
Example: The USB port on the computer is considered the hardware interface.

Link
noun
A link (short for hyperlink) is an HTML object that allows you to jump to a new location when you click or tap it. Links are found on almost every webpage and provide a simple means of navigating between pages on the web.
Example: The link of my glossary does not work.

Malware
noun
Malware, short for malicious software, is designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to computer systems and networks.
Example: While outright malware infections are unlikely, using an iPhone doesn’t protect you at all against robocalls or text message scams.

A network consists of multiple devices that communicate with one another. It can be as small as two computers or as large as billions of devices.
Example: My computer network is down, i cannot go on the web.

An operating system (OS) is software that controls a computer's core functions. It communicates with the hardware and allows programs to run.
Example: Windows is a good OS.

OSI Layer

The OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) model was created by the ISO to help standardize communication between computer systems. It divides communications into seven different layers, which each include multiple hardware standards, protocols, or other types of services.
Example: The OSI model begin at the bottom with all the numbers going up from Layer 1 to Layer 7.

Port

In the computer world, the term "port" has three different meanings. It may refer to 1) a hardware port, 2) an Internet port number, or 3) the process of porting a software program from one platform to another.
Example: There are so many port on a computer.

Protocol

A protocol is a standard set of rules that allow electronic devices to communicate with each other. These rules include what type of data may be transmitted, what commands are used to send and receive data, and how data transfers are confirmed.
Example: The protocol Wi-Fi is known worldwide.

A script is a list of programmatically-written instructions that can be carried out on command.
Example: The script i made for my website is bad.

Software

Software is a catch-all term for the programs and applications that run on a computer. Software programs act as the instructions that tell a computer's physical components, known as its hardware, what to do.
Example: The software on my computer needs to be updated.

A computer storage device is any type of hardware that stores data. The most common type of storage device, which nearly all computers have, is a hard drive. The computer's primary hard drive stores the operating system, applications, and files and folders for users of the computer.
Example: I need more storage space on my computer, so i will buy a SSD drive.

Virtualization

Virtualization can refer to a variety of computing concepts, but it usually refers to running multiple operating systems on a single machine.
Example: My VMware Workstation, Linux, Windows and Macintosh system uses virtualization.
