I want you to be able to hear intervals aurally and learn to identify the exact interval that it is.
Dorian Mode
The Dorian mode is another seven-tone musical scale, which is the second mode of the major scale. It is characterized by a natural sixth degree, which differentiates it from the natural minor scale. The sequence of intervals in the Dorian mode is: whole, half, whole, whole, whole, half, whole (W-H-W-W-W-H-W). This mode can be thought of as starting on the second degree of the major scale. For example, if you play all the white keys on a piano from D to D, you are playing the D Dorian mode2.
