Special care counseling is mainly concerned with the cognitive, emotional and accompaniment aspects. The goal of this job is to bring people to a better version of themselves while accompanying and supporting them. The educator must meet the needs of the clients while respecting their mandate values targeted in the profession of educator an open-mindedness, listening, communication and respecting their limits. The goal is to help others in their worst moments as well as in their best moments.
- active listening
- Active listening involves giving the other person time to explore their thoughts and feelings, and actively showing verbal and non-verbal signs of listening.
- activity
- The work of a group or organization to achieve a goal.
- adaptation
- Adaptation is the process or act of changing to suit a new situation.
- authentic
- Authentic refers to something that is genuine, real, original or not a copy or imitation. It can also refer to a person being true to their own personality, spirit, or character.

- Relating to, or concerned with the biological, psychological, and social aspects in contrast to the strictly biomedical aspects of disease.

- Professionalism refers to the conduct, behavior, and attitude of someone in a work or business environment. It is the qualities connected with trained and skilled people.

- Rehabilitation is the act or process of restoring something to a good condition. Rehabilitation is about realizing potential, with both a positive attitude and a broad-brush approach.

- Responsible mean to have and authority over someone or something and the duty to take care of them. It can also mean to have the duty of taking having cared of something.

- To help someone or something in an emotional or practical way.
- trust
- To believe that someone is good and honest and will not harm you, or that something is safe and reliable.

- Statutory procedure or social effort designed to promote the basic physical and material well-being of people in need.
