- army
- An organized military force equipped for fighting on land.
- authority
- A person or organization having power or control in a particular, typically political or administrative, sphere.
- colonization
- The act of taking control of an area or a country that is not your own, especially using force and sending people from your own country to live there.
- conquest
- A territory that has been gained by the use of subjugation and military force.
- country
- A nation with its own government, occupying a particular territory.
- discovery
- The process of finding information, a place, or an object, especially for the first time or the thing that is found.
- empire
- An aggregate of many states or territories under a supreme ruler or oligarchy.
- evolution
- The gradual development of something, especially from a simple to a more complex form.
- government
- The system to govern a state or community.
- independence
- The state of being free of the control of some other person, country or entity.
- king
- The male ruler of an independent state, especially one who inherits the position by right of birth.
- monarchy
- Political system based upon the undivided sovereignty or rule of a single person.
- population
- A particular section, group, or type of people or animals living in an area or country.
- president
- The elected head of a republic.
- revolution
- The usually violent attempt by many people to end the rule of one government and start a new one.
- royalty
- People of royal blood or status.
- state
- A nation or territory considered as an organized political community under one government.
- timeline
- A graphic representation of the passage of time as a line.
- treaty
- A formally concluded and ratified agreement between countries.
- war
- A particular armed conflict.
