Special care counselling is the program I have chosen at cégep. With this program, you can work with different clients. Children, teenagers, adult, or elderly people. People with developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, or mental health challenges.
Then, you can work in schools, work in daycares, group homes, or rahbilitation centers. In brief, what you do in this job? In general, you follow and you monitor the progress of your clients, you create intervention plans and crisis management.
Afterwards, if you are someone who hesitate to choose this program, I will help you choose it by giving you compelling reasons. In fact, you can make a big difference in the lives of these individuals because you raise awareness and support them in their process.
So, to help you, “PACOE” will be an important help referent. "Professionalism, adaptation, creativity, openness and commitment."
