Example: To avoid self-poisoning by acidosis lactate is produce from dissociation of biology.

Example: The ambulance crew reported that on the way to his house they got another call.

E branch of science concerned with the bodily structure of humans, animals, and other living organisms, especially as revealed by dissection and the separation of parts.
Example: The body was given to the Innsbruck anatomy department for treatment.

A thing or event that existed before or logically precedes another.
Example: Several possible antecedent of alignment deal with business.

Any of the muscular-walled tubes forming part of the circulation system by which blood (mainly that which has been oxygenated) is conveyed from the heart to all parts of the body.
Example: For example, McDonald's has agreed to pay $8.5 million to settle a lawsuit over artery-clogging trans fats in its cooking oils in California.

cardiac monitor

A cardiac event monitor is a device that you control to record the electrical activity of your heart (ECG).
Example: The doctors were checking the patient's cardiac monitor.

A flexible tube inserted through a narrow opening into a body cavity, particularly the bladder, for removing fluid.
Example: There was no Urinary catheter sputum pot or nebuliser visible.

cervical collar

A cervical collar, also known as a neck brace, is a medical device used to support and immobilize a person's neck.
Example: Her most recent bout involved her c-spine where she described pain, morning stiffness, and fatigue, loss of flexion extension lateral movements and weakness that required a cervical collar for support.

A concussion, also known as a mild traumatic brain injury, is a head injury that temporarily affects brain functioning.
Example: The football player got hit pretty hard. I think he has a pretty bad concussion.

A disease in which the body’s ability to produce or respond to the hormone insulin is impaired, resulting in abnormal metabolism of carbohydrates and elevated levels of glucose in the blood and urine.
Example: They can lead to well known problems including bad teeth, obesity, diabetes, and high blood pressure.

endotracheal tube
noun
In its simplest form, the endotracheal tube is a tube constructed of polyvinyl chloride that is placed between the vocal cords through the trachea.
Example: If IVs can not be continued, some drugs can be given via an endotracheal tube.

A hormone formed in the pancreas which promotes the breakdown of glycogen to glucose in the liver.
Example: For example both infection and respiratory failure would promote secretion of glucagon, cortisol and catecholamines.

A Kendrick extrication device (KED) is a device used in extrication of victims of traffic collisions from motor vehicles.
Example: The paramedics got the person out of the car with the KED.

Long tube usually used to make passing oxygen.
Example: The doctor used a manifold to help stabilize the patients breathing.

The pointed hollow end of a hypodermic syringe.
Example: It involves a thin needle, guided by ultrasound, being inserted through the mother's abdomen into the uterus.

pocket mask
noun
A pocket mask, pocket face mask, or CPR mask is a device used to safely deliver rescue breaths during a cardiac arrest or respiratory arrest.
Example: The medic used a pocket mask to help with CPR.

A rhythmical throbbing of the arteries as blood is propelled through them, typically as felt in the wrists or neck.
Example: The doctors checked the patient's pulse to see if he's still alive.
