They’re a form of website navigation that shows users the sections they’ve visited in the order they visited them so they can retrace their steps easily.

Buyer Persona

The imaginary people marketers target when they design ads or create content like website copy. Although they aren’t real people, they are created based on data from actual consumers. These personas are then used to inform the audience, tactics and tone of the messages delivered.
Cold Calling

Making unsolicited calls in an attempt to sell products or services. It's also a very inefficient way to find potential customers.
Flywheel
noun
The flywheel is a new way of conceptualizing the sales process, replacing the funnel where customers are thought of as an output.It demonstrates that awareness, engagement, and delight can happen at any point during the customer journey and that the best way to achieve growth is to apply force and remove friction in each stage.
Leads
noun
A person who has shown interest in your company's product or service.
List Broker
noun
A business that specializes in sourcing contact lists that direct marketers can rent for an email or marketing campaign. List brokers typically have access to a huge variety of lists and existing relationships with list owners.
Narrowcasting
verb
Sending a media message to a highly targeted audience. The opposite of broadcasting, narrowcasting is also considered a form of niche marketing.

Organic Search
noun
The natural and unpaid results users receive after making search queries. Search engines, which crawl your web pages and rank your content for relevance to the most common queries, determine these results.
Pain Point
noun
A prospect's pain point, or need, is the most important thing for a sales rep to identify in the selling process.
Point of Contact (POC)
noun
The moment at which a business and customer begin exchanging information, providing a service or handling a transaction.
Prospecting
verb
The process of searching for and finding potential buyers. Sales reps (or "prospectors") seek out qualified prospects and move them through the sales cycle.
Quota
Noun
A sales goal; a set amount of selling a sales rep is expect to meet over a given time frame, usually a month and/or quarter

When a website sends traffic to another website. Tracking referrals can help you understand how people find your website without using a search engine.
Schema Markup
noun
Bits of code added to a web page that help search engines understand the content of the page. With better understanding comes the ability to format content when it appears on the search engine results page (SERP).
Smarketing
