This glossary is about my field of study, more precisely about working in education. I made it for my english class with Mr. Walker

Academic achievement
Adjective and noun
Academic achievement is the extent to which a student or institution has achieved either short or long term educational goals.
Example: Academic achievement can be defined by passing all your classes.

Academic degree
Adjective and noun
A qualification awarded to a student upon successful completion of a course of study in higher education.
Example: He recently got his academic degree

Bridge program
Adjective and noun
Bridge programs are also transitional programs for students who typically hold a two-year college degree and seek to obtain a four-year or graduate degree.
Example: She's doing a bridge program for one more year.

Coaching

Coaching is a form of development in which an experienced person, called a coach, supports a learner or client in achieving a specific personal or professional goal by providing training and guidance.
Example: He is coaching the youth.

Critical thinking

The mental processus that should happen when you receive a new information, your brain collect, analyze and judge the information to make an opinion out of it.
Example: He doesnt believe everything he sees on the internet, he uses his critical thinking.

Emotional intelligence
adjective and noun
The capacity to be aware of, control, and express one's emotions, and to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically.
