A negotiated and typically legally binding arrangement between parties as to a course of action.
Example: Consolidation Act provides that any clause in an AGREEMENT is void in so far as it purports.

Property owned by a person or company, regarded as having value and available to meet debts, commitments, or legacies.
Example: The acquisition of shares or business ASSETS by private agreement.

Comparing one’s products to those of competitors in order to improve quality and performance.
Example: Quality control, shelf life assessments and benchmarking product sensory characteristics.

A certificate issued by a government or a public company promising to repay borrowed money at a fixed rate of interest at a specified time.
Example: A bonf is normally issued by a bank to an importer.
