The expression and consequent release of a previously repressed emotion, achieved through reliving the experience that caused it.
Example: Many therapists believe that an abreaction is a positive thing but it can be very painful for the client.

A personality construct characterized by the sub-clinical inability to indentify and describe emotions in the self.
Example: At university, she was diagnosed as autistic and also discovered she has alexithymia.

Example: the children's thoughts involve a lot of animism.
