Angioplasty
Noun
A medical procedure using a balloon to stretch open a narrowed or blocked artery. Most angioplasty procedures involve inserting a short wire mesh tube, called a stent, into the artery during the procedure. See 'stent'.

Stent
Noun
A tubular support placed temporarily inside a blood vessel to aid healing or relieve an obstruction.
Example: Intervention coronarienne percutannée avec stents médicamentés.
