4 Class vocabulary terms

A no-man's land
A disputes or uninhabited area, as between two opposing lines
Example: "In times of war, the battle field is a no-man's land, as it is disputed between the different countries on said battle field"

A strait
A long narrow area of water that connects two larger areas of water
Example: "The strip of water between spain and morocco is called a strait apparently"

A vacation compound
A bunch of private holiday homes in an encloses area
Example: "Oh, yes, we can use my parents' holiday home, it's at a vacation compound."

K-12
A expression in American english used to indicate the range of years of primary and secondary education in the american system. From Kindergarten (K) to (-) 12th grade (12)
Example: "Have you listened to Melanie Martinez's album, K-12 ? It uses the subjectif of school a lot, it's really cool."
