Hello , My name is Ghezal nihal , I am a 2nd year student .My Glossary below will contain the terms that we have seen throughout our study of the booklet .It will contain: Nouns,Verbs as well as adjectives and some definitions we made in class, as well as others that I made on my own with the help of " Larousse Dictionary" for the terms that I found a little difficult .

a Complaint

Noun

1) Complaint : The complaint is the legal action in which one party (the plaintiff) sues another party (the defendant). Federal civil cases begin with the filing of a complaint. 2) Complaint in Civil Law : is the first formal action taken to officially begin a lawsuit. This written document contains the allegations against the defense, the specific laws violated, the facts that led to the dispute, and any demands made by the plaintiff to restore justice.

Example: EXPL : I'm going to lodge a complaint against my lawyer over his incompetence.

fr: 1) Plainte : La plainte est l'action en justice dans laquelle une partie (le demandeur) poursuit une autre partie (le défendeur). Les affaires civiles fédérales commencent par le dépôt d'une plainte. 2) La plainte en droit civil : c'est la première action formelle entreprise pour engager officiellement une action en justice. Ce document écrit contient les allégations contre la défense, les lois spécifiques violées, les faits qui ont conduit au litige et toute demande faite par le plaignant pour rétablir la justice.

Commission

Noun

Commission: During the course of a contract, a commission is an amount of money that can be paid to an intermediary for connecting a seller and a buyer in a market.

Example: EXPL : of Commission pay - When an employee earns a commission, they make a portion of the sale in income. For example, if an employee sells a couch for $500 and they get a 10% commission on all sales, then they earn $50 on that sale

Environmental policy

environmental policy : any measure by a government or corporation or other public or private organization regarding the effects of human activities on the environment, particularly those measures that are designed to prevent or reduce harmful effects of human activities on ecosystems.

Example: In the 1970s, the United States government enacted three major environmental laws: the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, and the Toxic Substances Control Act. Elected representatives passed this environmental legislation to increase regulations regarding air, water, and toxic substances.

Sustainable foods are types of foods that are grown or reared in a manner that limits their negative impact on the environment and the communities that produce them. Sustainable foods are environmentally friendly foods that minimize greenhouse gas emissions and use resources as sustainably as possible.

Example: EXP1 : sustainable food : - Pulses. Beans, lentils, peas and other legumes are some of the most widely available sustainable foods on the market, requiring little water to produce a high yield. EXPL2 : healthy food : - Lemons. Lemons have been widely regarded in the health industry as the world's healthiest food. The sour fruit is an alkalizing power food, they have strong anti-inflammatory qualities and can even help to inhibit the growth of cancer cells.

Injunction

Noun

An injunction is a court order that requires someone to do or not to do something.

Example: There are two main types of injunctions available under Part IV of the Family Law Act 1996: 1)A non-molestation order 2) An occupation order.

Nomenclature

Noun

nomenclature, in biological classification, system of naming organisms. The species to which the organism belongs is indicated by two words, the genus and species names, which are Satinized words derived from various sources.

Example: Nomenclature is a system for giving names to things within a particular profession or field. EXPL: For instance, you may have heard of binomial nomenclature in biology class. It refers to the way of referring to living things by two names, like calling humans Homo sapiens.

fr: nomenclature, en classification biologique, système de dénomination des organismes. L'espèce à laquelle appartient l'organisme est indiquée par deux mots, les noms de genre et d'espèce, qui sont des mots latinisés dérivés de diverses sources.

Production Control

Phrase that contain noun and verb

production control is the activity of monitoring and controlling any particular production or operation. Production control is often run from a specific control room or operations room.

Example: there are fundamental factors allowing the right balance between variable production and production control like : land, labor, capital, and entrepreneurship . EXPL 2: Land,Labor,Capital and entrepreneurship are the factors of production that alow the right balance between the production control and the variable production .

fr: le contrôle de la production est l'activité de surveillance et de contrôle d'une production ou d'une opération particulière. Le contrôle de la production est souvent exécuté à partir d'une salle de contrôle ou d'une salle des opérations spécifique.

Supply and demand

supply and demand, in economics, is the relationship between the quantity of a commodity that producers wish to sell at various prices and the quantity that consumers wish to buy.

Example: For example, a business will make more of a good (such as TVs or cars) if the price of that product increases. So, if the price of TVs increases, TV producers are incentivized to produce more of them.
