This glossary contains words I used in my presentation about electric guitar and partly about music.
application

a formal request to be considered for a position or to be allowed to do or have something, submitted to an authority, institution, or organization.
Example: His application for membership of the organisation was rejected.

Chord
noun
a group of (typically three or more) notes sounded together, as a basis of harmony.
Example: He would hear a chord in his head and play each note individually.

musical performance given in public, typically by several performers or of several compositions.
Example: Their concert tickets are sold out.

fret
noun
each of a sequence of ridges on the fingerboard of some stringed musical instruments (such as the guitar), used for fixing the positions of the fingers to produce the desired notes.
Example: he guitar has 24 frets and the strings are tightened through the body.

a style or category of art, music, or literature.
Example: Rock was his favorite genre of music, but he also had a secret love for country.

String
noun
A string is the vibrating element that produces sound in string instruments such as the guitar, harp, piano (piano wire), and members of the violin family.
Example: He needs to tighten the guitar strings.

tone
noun
a musical or vocal sound with reference to its pitch, quality, and strength.
Example: The piano has a good tone.

tremolo
noun
a wavering effect in a musical tone, produced either by rapid reiteration of a note, by rapid repeated slight variation in the pitch of a note, or by sounding two notes of slightly different pitches to produce prominent overtones.
Example: He strummed a few chords and pushed down on the tremolo arm.

tuner
noun
an electronic device for tuning a guitar or other instrument.
Example: Symphony also features an audible radio tuner - using a special sliding tone that goes up or down according to the frequency.
