To help me and my classmates, I decided to create some glossary words for finance, that might help us in the future in the work field.
Coverage
noun
The amount of protection given by an insurance policy.
Example: "the insurance company did not offer total coverage for my car"

Estate
noun
An extensive area of land in the country, usually with a large house, owned by one person, family, or organization.
Example: ''the estate of your father is very big''
fr: Propriété
Lender
noun
An organization or person that lends money.
Example: "I know a respectable lender that can borrow us money"

Loan
noun
A thing that is borrowed, especially a sum of money that is expected to be paid back with interest.
Example: "the loan that my mom got for the car is very expensive"

Mortgage
noun
A legal agreement by which a bank or other creditor lends money at interest in exchange for taking title of the debtor's property, with the condition that the conveyance of title becomes void upon the payment of the debt.
Example: "My mom put down a hundred thousand in cash and took out a mortgage for the rest"

The act, state, or right of possessing something.
Example: "I have the full ownership of that car"

A punishment imposed for breaking a law, rule, or contract.
Example: "the penalty for my late payment is cheap"

An amount to be paid for an insurance policy.
Example: "the premium is very high"
