Ache: noun; a dull but persistent pain; en: courbature
Allergy: noun; a hypersensitive reaction to something; en: allergie
Anemia: noun; a deficiency of red blood cells; en: anémie
Anorexia: noun; a prolonged starving of the self; en: anorexie
Antidote: noun; a medicine that reverses the effects of a poison; en: antidote
Bacteria: noun; single-celled organisms that can be either beneficial or harmful; en: bactérie
Blood pressure: noun; the pressure that blood exerts of the walls of blood vessels; can be measured quickly to assess health; en: pression artérielle
Clinical trial: noun; research that is done to test how well a health product works, such as a drug or other medical treatment; en: essaie clinique
Cure: noun; something that gets rid of a disease or disability; en: cure
Diagnose: noun; to determine what an illness or disease; en: diagnostiquer
Disability: noun; when one is not able to perform normally; en: handicap
Disorder: noun; when one is affected by an abnormal condition; en: trouble
Fracture: noun; breaking of something, such as bone; en: fracture
Hyperglycemia: noun; having excess sugar in the blood; en: hyperglycémie
Hypertension: noun; high blood pressure; en: hypertension
Immunization: noun; the act of protecting a person from disease; en: immunisation
Inflammation: noun; a swelling of a body part due to an infection, usually by a virus or bacteria; en: inflammation
Influenza: noun; a highly contagious viral disease that resembles a cough; causes fever, aches, and general discomfort; en: grippe à Influenza
Insurance: noun; a guarantee by a company or government to pay for certain medical expenses if you have pay a premium beforehand; en: assurance
Vital signs: noun; clinical measurements that indicate the state of a patient’s body functions; en: signes vitaux
